Hello Boris,
0.2.2, I think this request is quite important. I added the following two
features:
- When saving files, the BibTeX data is written into a temporary file and
only if this succeeds the file is copied to be the target BibTeX file
- When saving or exporting files, the a user-defined number of copies
(backups) will be created. E.g. if the user specifies 5 copies, the oldest
(5th) copy is discards, the 4th copy becomes the 5th, ..., the previous
version becomes the first copy.
Before saving, the user has test.bib, test.bib~, and test.bib~2.
After saving, the user has test.bib, test.bib~, test.bib~2, and test.bib~3
where test.bib~ from before saving equals to test.bib~2 after save.
This should be quite bullet-proof.

deprecated and I don't intent to mess with that in KBibTeX. If you prefer
these combinations, you should set them in the global KDE settings.

Hi there, I'd like to share with you my experience with your software,
which is afaik the easiest-to-use GUI bibtex editor under linux.
Thats nice to hear :-)which is afaik the easiest-to-use GUI bibtex editor under linux.
* I suspect kbibtex from destroying my *large* bibtex file by saving a
blank file with the same name over it. It happened to me on KDE4, I
pressed Ctrl+S and subsequently ordered computer shutdown. Kbibtex should
make a backup copy of the previous version of the file for the stupids

* bibtex crashes with about 5% probability when cancelling the google
scholar search progress box - too bad if you didn't save your work - apart
from a bug fix, autosave would help on the higher level of issues
Hm, good idea, but it's too late for today to start with that now. Maybe thescholar search progress box - too bad if you didn't save your work - apart

* It is impossible to paste by Shift+Insert (Only by Ctrl+V) when in "Edit
Bibtex Entry" form, "Identifier" edit box
I guess that's a Qt/KDE issue. AFAIK Shift+Insert or Shift+Delete are ratherBibtex Entry" form, "Identifier" edit box

"Identifiers"
Ok, added this check."Identifiers"
* Obvious feature requests concerning keywords is that manipulation for
selected groups of records should be possible, order in which the keywords
were assigned shouldn't matter and changes to keywords from the object
menu should be visible right away.
This looks like a larger change I do not want to include closely before theselected groups of records should be possible, order in which the keywords

menu should be visible right away.

Sorry for reporting multiple issues in one file. I admire the extent of
your work. Was it not for that lost file of mine, I'd congratulate you for
great job, but as the thing are now, I'll instead invest the energy into
scolding myself for not backing up my work.
